12: Slippery Hips

I'm standing in a room with white walls and a white floor with no furniture. I'm looking around me. Through a door in front of me walks Claudia (friend of mine) and she hands me two hoola hoops.
I take the pink hoop from her and she takes a green one and begins to spin it around her waist. I try but am unsuccessful. I look at her hopelessly and she says,
"The only way to do it is to make your hips slippery. It's all about the slippery hips"
I try again but am unsuccessful. I put the hoop down and sit on the floor, putting my head in my hands.
When I lift my head up again, (an indetermined time frame later) Dad is standing in front of me. I look up at him and he glares at me.
"Where have you been?" He asks. "You were supposed to have your operation two hours ago! This is so irresponsible!"
I groan and mumble a 'sorry' and follow him out the door and into a hospital room.
Theres a team of doctors there. One of them says,
"OK, lie down and we're going to take out your appendix."
I lie on the bed and close my eyes. When I open them again, I am in a hospital bed with Claudia and Matti (another friend) sitting by my bed.
"Does it hurt?" they ask.
"Yes," I say. (It didn't at all)
