11: Mika - Grace Kelly

Ok, this was kind of a semi-dream. It needs a bit of explanation... Every morning, when I wake up I have my radio turn on (to 2dayfm, Kyle and Jackie O) and then 20mins later, my phone goes off and I get up. It was during the time in between the radio turning on and my phone going off that Grace Kelly by Mika came onto the radio. The following semi-dream was born...

I'm lying in my old room upstairs in my house. Grace Kelly begins to play and the symbol for MTV bounces up above my head (Can you see what's coming?). As the boppy music begins i sit bolt upright in bed, singing the song. I get out of bed and skip out onto the bridge between my old room and my parents room. Looking down at the living room, I see balloons completely covering the floor and I flip over the banister and land in the balloons just as the chorus comes on. Several people join me for a choreographed dance routine to the chorus. Balloons are falling from the roof. I waltz outside, shasaying and turning alternately until I'm out in the sunshine and I spin around embracing the sun with the other dancers leaping around me in a circular formation.

All in all, a great way to wake up!

10: The Scoggies Revisited

I'm sitting in a tree. By this, I don't mean on a branch, I mean inside the trunk. I know this because it smells like wood and its mossy inside (so it must be a tree that I'm sitting in). The only thing is, its quite spacious in there. I get up off the cushion of moss that I am sitting on and walk around. There's not much in there except for moss and a couple of lights (of course, that's what you find in trees...).
I look up and see light above me. I climb up to get a better look and as I get closer to the light, the hole gets narrower and narrower until i pop out the top of the tree which is just big enough for me to fit through (luckily, or this dream would've gone nowhere!). The top of the tree is surrounded by a layer of grass which is hovering about 50m above the earth (I can see the ground through little cracks in the grass, but I don't worry about simple things like height or gravity) and I get out and look around. I sit down on the grass next to the hole I just came out of and wait. In the distance, I see something coming towards me.
As the thing gets closer, I see it is a Scoggie (for those who don't know, the Scoggies are a race of people I made up to blame things on, when I was younger). This one resembled a troll doll with blue hair. As he approached, I knelt on my knees and half bowed to him (which, I'm guessing, is a Scoggie greeting). He bowed back and i stood up and took his outstretched hand.
He pointed to the edge of the grass which was a little way off and we went and took a look. I saw the 50m drop and shook my head, stepping back (terrified of heights), but he took my hand again and together, we ran to the edge and leaped off.

9: You're Getting a Dog!

Yes, Ant and Mat, you actually made it into one of my dreams....

I'm sitting with my parents. They turn to me and say,
"We think you need to show your responsibility a bit more, so you're getting a dog"
I take a minute, flabbergasted. (For those that don't know my parents, this is an unlikely, nay, impossible notion)
"So what kind of dog do you want to get?" Mum says
I take a minute to think and then say,
"A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel" (Hereafter CKCS. My favourite type of dog)
Dad gets up and says "Ok" and heads towards the door. I follow.
We walk out onto our street where we see our neighours, Jonathon and his daughter Emily, playing with their little white dog, Teddy. Dad begins talking to Jonathon while I excitedly tell Emily the news.
"No way!" She says, just as surprised as I am.
Dad comes up to Emily and I, holding dog. On closer analysis, it's a lilac CKCS with mauve spots. I look at it in disdain.
"Did you get that from Aldi?"
"It's only temporary, but is this the right kind?"
I nod and he sets the dog down.
"Jonathan (Funnily enough another neighbour with the same name) has one of these dogs, you know" I say.
"Lets go ask him about it then." And Dad sets off up the street.
When we get to Jonathan's house, we see his parents, Fran and Kevin, outside sweeping the driveway.
"We were wondering," I started, then I stopped. What if their dog's died? I thought. Dad seemed to understand.
"Our dog has a headache and we were wondering if you had any panadol for dogs?" He asked.
Fran and Kevin look sad. Fran goes inside the house and comes back with a box.
"Our dog was hit by a car..." She holds out the box. "Take a few of these."
She hands me a pair of scissors and i use them to get a few of the tiny pills out. (For some reason) I hide the pills in my mouth.
As dad and I are walking away I spit the pills out.
When we get back to our street, Mat and Ant are there with Aunty Gloria.
"We're going to get a dog" I tell them.
"HA!" Aunty Gloria says. "That'd be the day."
Dad, Ant and I get into the car and begin to drive. Halfway down the street, Dad stops.
"NO DAD!" I say, "We have to do this now!" (For those of you that don't know, my dad takes AGES to make big decisions and it annoys the crap out of me)
I get out of the car and push the car out of the street and down the hill.

8: Mexico

I'm in Mexico with my ex-imaginary friend Salvador. He's sitting by the roadside playing a banjo (I know banjos aren't Mexican - get over it) Everything is orange (which is the colour I see when I think of Mexico).
There's a truck coming towards us quite fast. As it approaches, I look on the back of the truck and see a donkey walking on a treadmil. It looks at me as the truck passes, and it shrugs (never knew donkeys could do that eh? Well they can!). I watch the truck get smaller and smaller in the distance until its gone. Then I walk away from Salvador down a back street.
I hear music coming from somewhere on the street. I follow the sound into a house where there are about 300 people crammed into a tiny room, all watching a tv. I can't get close enough to see whats on the tv. I try to climb on the backs of some of the people crowded around the tv (they don't seem to notice me doing this).
I feel a tug on my pant leg just as I have hoisted myself up on someone's back. I look down and see a little boy smiling at me. I get down to the ground and kneel so I am his height. He holds out a fist to me and looks at me expectantly.
I hold out my hand and he drops a little package into it and runs away.
I walk outside onto the street again and open the package. I wake up before I can find out what it was...

7: A Dream About a lot of Things I know Nothing About...

I'm walking down Sunset Boulevarde in LA. (I've never been there so its a lot like it is in Pretty Woman)
I see David Bowie walking down the street towards me. (I don't really know what he looks like but for some reason I know its him).
I say hello and he smiles back at me.
I'm with Avery (a person I've never met but is a friend of a friend) and she's telling me all about Vera Wang dresses and I nod like I know what she's talking about. I DO know what she's talking about (but I don't if you know what I mean...)
I stop dead in my tracks as I catch the sight of my shaddow in front of me, but the sun is also in front of me.
"This doesn't make sense" I think to myself. When I look up, Avery is gone. I'm standing alone on a deserted Sunset Boulevarde and I look up when it starts snowing (Never been to the snow but thats what I guess it looks like) I hold my hand up and catch some snowflakes on my hand. They're big like in those cartoons where the snowflakes are as big as your face. I take a bite out of it and wake up completely confused.

6: The Rude Guy

No birds in this one...

I'm in a bar with my friend Lucy.
We're about to order a drink when a very rude man cuts in front of us. Lucy stands back and lets him in, while I step forward and tell him off.
"Excuse me," I say "but we're about to order and you just cut in line and that's just not acceptable"
Lucy looks embarrassed.
The man looks angry for a second, then his expression fades and he says,
"Congratulations! Have you ever heard of the show mmmm?" (he mumbled it, so I couldn't hear it)
I shake my head.
"We're a hidden camera show where people get rewarded for telling other people off when they've been rude! You're our newest winner!"
"WOOO!" I yell, pumping my fist in the air.
I turn to Lucy for her 'woo' but she just looks disbelieving.
The man gives me some money, and a camera man comes out. I turn and look straight down the camera and say,
"I just got Punk'd!!"
And the camera man throws the camera on the floor, where it consequently shatters like glass, and he runs away.

5: Two Goats and a Pheasant

It's the middle of the night and I'm at school, trying to find my way out. I run out one (exit) gate and find myself back where I started on the other side. Still, I try again.
I see the outside world from where I am, but I can't get to it.
After trying it a couple more times, it begins to get lighter. I stop and stare at the sun, which is orange.
When I turn to look at the gate again, I see three shaddows standing in my way. Two look the same, and one different.
I walk up to them to get a closer look, and the orangey light from the sun reveals that they are two goats and a pheasant. I crouch to look at them in the eyes. and they nod at me. We know what to do.
The two goats turn to face the gate and the pheasant grows and grows until it's bigger than me. It kneels down and I climb on its back. I find a golden rope in my hands and the ends are attached to the goats. All three animals begin to run at the gate. I close my eyes as we go through and open them to find myself in bed in my room.

4: Re-occuring Dream

I'm in an old room. It looks like a the parking lot of the EQ, but smaller and with no cars or colours.
There's a doorway at the end of the room. I peer in and see my mum. She sits on a staircase, reading a book.
I shout out to her, "Mum!" but she doesnt hear.
All of a sudden, a huge, black, ugly dog comes out from nowhere and barks at me. I yell for mum but she still doesn't look up.
The dog keeps barking at me, only its barks become more and more violent and seem to be pushing me backwards more and more with the air the dog expels from its icky mouth. The dog gives one final bark and i go flying backwards.
I fling my arm out to stop myself and grab the first thing that I touch.
A fridge door.
The door of the fridge flaps wildly, still fueled by the dog's windy barks. I hold on for dear life, but eventually my arms give out and I fall down into a trapdoor.
I expect to hit the ground, but instead am suspended in midair in a cellar where my brother and dad are sitting.
Whew!

3: In the jungle with Jon Heder

I'm standing at edge of a large messy jungle, swarming with animals. My team are standing behind me. We are given a map and told to find our way Amazing Race-style through to the end.
We look at the map and work out the best way through.
Just as we're about to leave, Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) walks up to me and says
"You guys are, like, awesome. Somebody drink this cordial."
He hands me a cup of red cordial. Knowing that John Heder is the ruler of all Jungle team sports, I obey and drink the cordial. I immediately fall into a coma and my team must now carry me through the jungle. Gosh!

2: Coldplay, Chickens and Jelly

I am standing in the front row of the mosh pit at a cold play concert. (Why there is a mosh pit at a coldplay conert, I will never know...). I'm with my friend Rayne. Chris Martin looks at me and sings,
"Would you like to come onstage?"
I nod and am pulled up, pulling Rayne up with me. We stand onstage, nodding along to the song for a minute, but quickly get bored, so we run off stage into the curtains.
Instead of being backstage, we find ourselves in a barn. The walls of the barn are higher than I can see and there are shelves all the way up with live chickens lining the shelves.
We decide we must get to the other side of the barn, so we begin to quietly walk across, tiptoeing in the unnecessary way people do in movies. I hear a scream from behind me and Rayne has stepped on a dog's chew toy and is grimacing as she takes her foot off slowly, making the sound echo around the barn. We both look up expectantly.
Silence.
Then all of a sudden, chickens come from all sides.
"Run!" I yell.
We both run full pelt to the end of the barn, avoiding chickens left, right and centre.
I suddenly feel like I'm running in slow-mo' and there's a chicken runnning under my foot and I can't avoid it. I step on the chicken, but instead of feeling its bones crunch, it becomes jelly.
Lime, green jelly.
MMMMMMM!

1: The Ducks

To set the scene, I'm standing in a field of peppermint green-coloured grass. The sky is baby blue and there is dark water a little way off. Some ducks come waddling up. They are purple (but this doesnt seem to bother me). There's a caterpault some way off into the distance. I bend down and pick up two of the ducks and carry them over to the caterpault. I place one of them in the bucket thing and set it off. The duck explodes in the air like a firework.
