5: Two Goats and a Pheasant

It's the middle of the night and I'm at school, trying to find my way out. I run out one (exit) gate and find myself back where I started on the other side. Still, I try again.
I see the outside world from where I am, but I can't get to it.
After trying it a couple more times, it begins to get lighter. I stop and stare at the sun, which is orange.
When I turn to look at the gate again, I see three shaddows standing in my way. Two look the same, and one different.
I walk up to them to get a closer look, and the orangey light from the sun reveals that they are two goats and a pheasant. I crouch to look at them in the eyes. and they nod at me. We know what to do.
The two goats turn to face the gate and the pheasant grows and grows until it's bigger than me. It kneels down and I climb on its back. I find a golden rope in my hands and the ends are attached to the goats. All three animals begin to run at the gate. I close my eyes as we go through and open them to find myself in bed in my room.

Ok, I can understand the part about being trapped in the school and not being able to access the outside world in a late age highschool student.
But what are the goats and the pheasant supposed to be?!?!
What instruments of liberation are emboddied by a couple of goats and a game hen?!
